Convert Multiple Images into One PDF

Turning a set of photos into one PDF is the standard way to submit scanned documents, receipts and portfolios. The order of the pages is the part that goes wrong, so it is worth getting right before you start.

Order and page size

Images become pages in the order you add them, so sort or rename the files first. Each image keeps its own orientation, which means a mixed set produces a document with both portrait and landscape pages. Some portals accept that, others look for a consistent page size.

Quality and file size

Photos converted at full resolution make a heavy PDF. If the upload has a size cap, compress the images first, or pass the finished PDF through the compressor afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add more photos to a PDF that already exists?
Not directly. Create a new PDF with the full set, or merge the new PDF with the existing one to keep both.
What image formats can be combined?
JPG, PNG and WebP images can all go into one PDF, so a mixed set from different sources is fine.
Why did one photo appear sideways?
The page uses the rotation stored in the image file. Rotate the photo first, then convert again.
